Black and White and Infrared animal pictures. Many of these are taken with a wide angle lens which is rarely flattering for humans and has much the same effect on animals. However, they don't complain about it and it does allow me to get quite close to them, which I think captures a bit more of their character. I can confirm it does also increase the risk of horse snot on the lens, though.
