Black and White Bristol

This little old lady was a nun who apparently sat in this little shrine every day right in the central tower of the Bayon in Angkor Thom, down the road from Angkor Wat. We loved the Bayon and I had a peaceful and uplifting visit to the shrine. We sat in silence for a while and also managed to communicate a little without any common language; when I left she made it clear I was welcome to take the photograph.
